We finally close on our house Sept. 30 at 2:00!!! Our pod is being delivered and they hand us the keys as soon as we close!! We are so excited and thankful that the Lord brought us through this time and all that He has done in our lives!! We feel truly blessed to be getting into this house, for Don's job, and the new church we found!

Spontaneous Day

It has been hard waiting for our house to close. Everyday we wake up and without any household duties to attend to and no meals to make, the day is very empty. So we went to the mall to have some lunch, look for fall shoes, and spontaneously get the babies pictures taken!
They did great and I have some great pictures of my little ones!

siliskin glass

Emma just recently started drinking out of a cup like a "big girl". I think I put it off for so long because I was worried about spills. But a friend of mine just put a post up about these new glasses she found for little ones! They have a silicone sleeve on the outside of the glass to help slippery little hands have a better grip : ) If I don't win one they will definitely be in my little ones stockings this Christmas.

Check it out:

Put simply......"I Love You"

I have wanted to get Emma one of these for the longest time. Her face was priceless!

Pete, Felix, and Papa

A Kung Fu Panda Birthday!

The day after Don saw Kung Fu Panda he said he wanted his next birthday to have that theme! Well his loving wife took note and suprised him with a Kung Fu Panda cake! He was shocked and thrilled. At 28, the little boy in my husband came out! He even said he would be playing with the figures after they came off the cake. And he did!

War of the Highchairs

So for those of you that don't know we have been staying at the Marriott Residence Inn. We will be staying here until our house closes.
Every morning we get up, pj's and all, and head downstairs for the breakfast that they provide.
A few mornings ago I overheard a conversation a woman was having about how they ended up staying at the hotel so long. From what I heard they had one of their pipes brake at their house and it flooded. Everything was ruined and they have been staying here until their house is fixed. They have a family of 5 that are staying here. Husband, Wife, a teenage daughter, and two twin boys about a year old.
Aside from there sad story an unsaid war is going on between us. We arrive downstairs around 8 am for breakfast and they arrive a little after us. Their are only 2 highchairs available to use.
With them having twins, if they arrive first they take both chairs. However, if we get down their first I am able to get a chair for Jah Jah bean! (Emma is fine sitting in a "big girl" chair)
Every morning is a flight to see who can get down there first! In fact this morning I tried to make it down there by 7:45. And when she walked in this morning, I could have bet she gave me a wary eye seeing me with one of the chairs! lol

My little gymnast

Emma had been enjoying gymnastics for the last 6 weeks before we left.

So, one of the first plan of attacks when we got here was to look into gymnastics for her.
I was very surprised to find out that not only do they have gymnastics for her but ballet! So I started making calls and they were all about the same price.
Today was spent taking a look at some of the facilities and seeing what Emma's reaction was to watching some of the classes. She seemed very excited and even said, "Hi gymnastics! Emma is coming!"

Myrtle Beach

I had all of these dream of my children arriving at the beach and running along the sand in their barefeet. Running in and out of the water, giggling, and having a great time! Instead this was Emma G's reaction.....

After the beach we went to Broadway-at-the-beach! We had a great time there! They had a John Deere tractor store that Elijah loved. Emma was thrilled with any water fountain we came upon. And the cotton candy was a great bonus for Don and I!
Had we had more time we would have gone to the Ripley's Aquarium.
All in all we had a great day and can't wait to go back!

Better or Worse than Bojangles

Where to start......BOJANGLES!
We decided Friday to go to Myrtle Beach. Don starts work on Monday so we wanted to make the most of our "mini vacation". We started out and as it approached lunch time we knew we needed to find a place before the children were no longer the sweet little angels that they are. : P
We looked on our GPS and their was nothing within a 45 min radius that looked even vaguely familiar. Except this one fast food chain that we had seen all over the place called Bojangles.

I won't go to much into the horrid experience we had their. Let's just say things will now be on a scale of is this better or worse than Bojangles.

Day at the Park

We are coming upon the end of our first week in Charlotte. What an adventure! There are times we look at each and say, "What did we just do?". But for the most part we are so excited about this next step in our lives. We are together as a family and doing what we feel the Lord wants for us!
We had a fun day at a new park we found today!

We are going to the shore tomorrow! Pictures to come!
Oh and did I mention we are working with only a stovetop at the hotel we are staying at!? I am having to be very creative with dinner ideas. lol
